With the M3 Ultra, our goal was to deliver a distinctively rich and enveloping sound that reminds users of smooth tube flavour. To capture that deep, musical essence, we integrated a pair of genuine, military-grade JAN6418 miniature vacuum tubes from Raytheon. It took our engineering team years of refinement, but we finally succeeded in squeezing these actual glass tubes into an ultra-compact body.
Of course, putting tubes into a portable device usually means dealing with the dreaded "microphone effect”, that annoying ringing noise triggered by everyday bumps. We tackled this head-on with our proprietary Triple Anti-Vibration Technology:
